What is Optim-AI?
Optim-AI is a French artificial intelligence consulting and development firm for leaders of SMEs and mid-sized companies. The firm offers three separate services: a diagnostic to decide whether the topic deserves a budget, an audit of the actual situation with a costed countermeasures plan, and custom projects to build the selected tools.
Who is Optim-AI for?
For leaders of SMEs and mid-sized companies, as well as executive and business-line management in large companies, who want to understand what AI changes for their business before committing a budget. No technical skills are required to work with us.
Do you need to be using AI already to work with Optim-AI?
No. AI is often already present without anyone having decided it: in France, nearly one employee in two who uses generative AI at work has not told their manager (Ifop for Talan, March 2025). The audit starts from that reality, whether it is acknowledged or not.
How much does an audit cost?
The amount depends on the size of the company and on what already exists, so we do not publish prices. It is given to you in writing, as a fixed fee and never on a time-and-materials basis, after the first conversation and before any commitment. The quote for a project is drawn up free of charge from the plan produced by the audit.
How long does an engagement last?
The full audit starts at 9 days of work, depending on headcount, spread over three months at most, countermeasures plan included. The diagnostic takes two days, with findings presented within two weeks. Custom projects depend on the agreed scope and are quoted separately; you are under no obligation to go ahead with them.
Will my data go to OpenAI or Google?
Only if you decide it should, and never without the question having been asked explicitly. The target architecture separates what stays within your information system from what can be entrusted to a third party. Solutions hosted in Europe or on your own servers are always assessed.
Who owns the code produced during the engagement?
You do, from day one. The code, documentation and data are your property. No component is locked behind an Optim-AI licence, and reversibility is tested before the engagement ends.
Will AI replace my employees?
AI replaces tasks, not entire jobs. It first takes over work that is repetitive, structured and involves little decision-making. Roles made up mostly of such tasks will change; those that rely on judgement, relationships and responsibility shift towards checking and oversight.
How do you choose an AI model when they change every three months?
By not building on the model. Your data, processes and skills do not change at the pace of the models. A sound architecture treats the model as an interchangeable part, so it can be replaced without rebuilding the tool.
Do you work everywhere in France?
Yes. Optim-AI works throughout mainland France, with no geographical surcharge. Audit interviews take place on site, because seeing people's workstations and the shop floor changes how we understand an organisation. The rest of the engagement is conducted remotely, with in-person meetings at key milestones.
Does Optim-AI resell licences or partner solutions?
No. Optim-AI has no reseller agreements and receives no commission on the market tools it recommends. The firm does develop software, but custom software, for a given client, and that software belongs to that client. It is a production activity, not a distribution one.
